Mysticism – Neville Crofts

Mysticism

Sunday 30th November – 6pm UK Time

a zoom talk by Neville Crofts

What is knowledge and what does it mean to know?

Why did Socrates maintain that he knew nothing?

Those who seem to know something often speak in ways which confound us. This talk will consider these questions by looking at great thinkers from both the East and West.

Neville Crofts has been a member of TS for just 10 years but has been enquiring into the meaning of truth since 1968. This has included studying Advaita philosophy, Plato, and Sanskrit.
In recent years he has taken a great interest in Meister Eckhart a 13th century Dominican and possibly the greatest of German mystics.
